5 Tips to DIY Your Branding Videos

Here’s a few fun facts about why you need video! This is a very simple video. No music. No fancy transitions. YOU CAN DO THIS!

Here are the resources I used:

Google. That’s where I got the facts regarding media and video interaction.

WordSwag. http://wordswag.co/
W
ordswag makes it so simple to make your own quickie graphics. I usually import my own photos from my camera but for this example, I wanted to show you how easy it is. I used their stock images. I added text from the facts I found on google, picked a style,  et voila! Graphics done.

FilmMicPro http://www.filmicpro.com/
I
shot the video using this app on my phone. You could just use your phone’s camera too. I like this app because it takes better quality video. Download and try it out. Or just get started with your phone. Just.start.

Lav Mic https://www.amazon.com/Rode-Smartlav-Lavalier-Microphone-Smartphones/dp/B00BHN05H2
For the audio under the graphics, I used a Rode Lav Mic. You could always use your headphones for better audio. The audio in the camera app is not very good. You can hear the difference in the clarity of my voice in this video when it switches from the lav mic under the graphics to the camera’s audio when you see me.

iMovie http://www.apple.com/ios/imovie/
I
imported all the pieces into iMovie. I wanted you to see how easy it is to make a video, so I skipped the music, transitions and Ken Burns. You’ll want to play around with those features as you get more comfortable.

Go! Get out your phone and make some media today!
